The cards for 2018 have been pulled. Here are my interpretations and channeling of what is in store for us this coming year.
The Anchor card Page of Water reversed- When the reversed Page of Water appears, it’s a sign to allow yourself to play and dream, but that you must remain grounded in reality. Knowing the difference between dreams and wishful thinking and what is really happening can be especially challenging now. (click continue for full article) In general, this card in reverse shows a need to play, to dream, to have a little fun. At the same time, you have to know where the boundaries lie. Eventually we all have to pay the piper in some way. Be aware that actions have consequences. The Winds of Change, Fate, Destiny and Karma are upon us in 2018. Stand up and show who you are is the theme in this 11 (2) year. Partnerships are formed and forged; the old dies and is discarded, sometimes not by choice, but by fate. This is the year of Gaia, The Earth, and she is not happy with the Fire energy over the last 7 years; it is now her time to take back control. Expect her to purge and purify through means of climatic destruction, which ultimately leads to renewal. This is a slow process, but we will experience more natural disasters world wide as they have been increasing since 2012. She continues to give Earth’s people a chance to be decent and respectful, yet we continue to destroy the Earth by raping its natural resources, killing and ignorance. The overall energy in the world is so violent that it is felt through the core of each and every one of us down to the core of the planet. It reverberates throughout the Universe and expands beyond this third rock from the Sun. The Earth’s day of reckoning is coming and she keeps warning us; most call it fake news, false scientific information, or turn a blind eye, but I say, how can we deny the climate changes, the natural disasters of late, the near extinction of its animals and blame it on anyone but ourselves? There is darkness brewing and the Universe is begging its Lightworkers and Lightwalkers to unite and stop the madness now. Truth-be-told, this year bubbles up major anxiety within me and the need to stay fully grounded is imperative.
January Transformation reversed- When Transformation appears in reverse, it often indicates that the changes that are likely to be coming in our lives and are of a less intense nature than the changes indicated by the upright card. Again, it bears repeating that the energy of this time is not just change or destruction; it is change or destruction followed by renewal. Almost without exception in life, when one door may close, another is opening. Will you have the courage to step through? The undercurrent of dissatisfaction is what leads to breakthroughs and transformations; it is time to stop blaming others for your situations, outcomes and melancholy – take a good look at what is triggering these emotions within you and take the leap to make big changes this year. This may mean changing career field, changing address and location or changing lovers. A complete upheaval and overhaul is necessary. Integrity is highlighted not only for 2018, especially for the month of January with the Full Moon in Cancer at 11° and the second Full Moon on January 31st in Leo at 11° with a Lunar Eclipse, opening the dark recesses of your heart and ego; 11 is the ruling number of 2018, a Master number; become the Master of the Self this year. Find your triggers that mirror your pain and anger, seek the healing that is required.
February 5 of Air- Indicates mixed feelings between those surrounding you. This is “Choose your Battles Wisely” month. Ferme la bouche, Halts Mal, Callate la boca – in other words Shut your Mouth or Bite your Tongue… we do not have to say or write every thought that comes into our minds. We are better off keeping the peace lest you find ourselves the last man standing in your circle of friends and allies. You may feel victorious and righteous, but you could find yourself standing alone; you have won and proven your point – now what? The Solar Eclipse at 27 ° Aquarius on February 15th will give you a green light go to move forward with new innovation and creativity if you can hold off and contain yourself until then.
March Messenger of Fire reversed- The Knight has fallen from his mount, growth is non-existent as fears must be faced, boundary lines must be drawn so that we may get back in the saddle and breakthrough our limitations. Set backs and delays are expected while the Messenger regains his/her footing; the current message is “Please Wait”, be patient. The Messenger of Fire reversed is impatient and wants to make things happen and progress forward; whether it is in an employment/job venture or love relationship – trying to make things happen, or rushing a decision and making a commitment this month will be futile. This reminds me of Aries energy, when the baby wants something he has a temper tantrum until he gets what he “thinks” he wants only to find that does not soothe either then must move on and find another item of comfort. Sit back, relax and allow situations play out so that we may be more discerning over our choices.
April Ace of Water reversed- The Ace of Water typically symbolizes the beginning of a great love filled with joy; this reversed Ace is that of a cleansing that must occur before we can move towards progress. The washing away of what is no longer working in the system; it is time to clean house. It is not as quintessential as it first appears as the seahorse drowns and the dove of peace falls to Earth. It is the changing of the guard in our external world and the beginning of the changes that are to come. This is not the most terrible Omen, but things appear to not be exactly where we want them to be. Whether it is your job, love, finances, health, not all is dire, just dissatisfaction – especially if you were hasty last month and decided before truly realizing what it is that you desired. Sometimes we eat a dinner roll because we cannot wait for the meal only to find that the appetizer spoiled the main course. This card lends us the energy of one final Spring cleaning; a riddening of the non-essential, the ill-serving aspects of our lives and one last shove to truly discover what it is we want from this year. Discover what is not working within ourselves, within the world and make a change, make a difference on a grander scale. Continue to seek the help in the areas of your life that are not working; this also continues the need for professional help. This theme of mental health issues and the requirement for a qualified therapist keep cropping up in the channeling- there are so many broken and damaged souls out in the world creating chaos within themselves that leeches into the collective consciousness, further creating more chaos. This healing comes from the higher power of the Universe through meditation and inner work; recognizing the need to speak to a therapist and to get good with the self. If we can all just heal, the ripples will continue to heal the collective.
May 8 of Earth reversed- A new tune is about to be played; gone are the days of tiny violins playing to your sorrow. The old continues to fall; this suggests finances as the coins fall to the ground. A new awareness fills the air and a need to ground the self. It is time to open the eyes to the reality of the world and the self. The veils of dissolution and deception are falling. There is no such thing as a free lunch and it is time to pay the piper and get to work. Make your to-do lists, prepare and get your affairs in order; it is time to go to work. It is time to walk the walk and talk the talk; bullshitters need not apply. It is time to get real and possibly do more than what is typically expected of you; some will get this, others continue to complain. Nothing magically happens when it comes to love, employment and finances; do not kid yourself as you are the only character in all equations that you can control; do your part, do your best and then see how that goes. Often, we enter into relationships; whether they be an employment contract, friendship or love relationship and then we park our vehicle in a space and expect everything to magically flow and improve; but like any good gardener knows, cultivation and attention are required on your part on a continuous basis otherwise the garden dies and then we cry that we are dissatisfied with the results. Know that you control the results. Pick up the coins, recover the violin and learn how to play your own tune.
June The Moon- This is such a complex card; symbolizing our dreams, intuition, a dim light shining on the path to our journey, deceptions and illusions that are created- things are not as they appear. The beginning of our subconscious minds, leading the way to ultimate enlightenment. The Lady of the Moon is sprinkling star dust down on the world and in the eyes of those that choose not to see the truth; paths will be followed that are false, paths will be followed that are true- which path will you choose? Be discerning. Trickery abounds. The traditional symbolism of The Moon shows two towers (Integrity), two lands set before the mountains, the creatures of the deep are emerging from the waters of the mind, while on shore the dog and the wolf show us our humane side and our wild side. Which do you choose? For the world, this could mean two lands coming together in conflict vying for the win. As Mars goes Retrograde towards the end of the month through August, we set our motives and reasoning to wage war. Be aware that the what we see with our eyes is not real, what we hear with our ears is not real. Intuition and knowing are essential at this time. Disconnect to connect. Reality resides in the unrealistic. The Moon also represents the Shadow side of the self, what lies below the surface; the darkness that lives within all of us- The Moon is here to illuminate the Shadow.
July 4 of Water- Blending with the energy of the Anchor card for the year, this promotes wishful thinking. We all want everything to be better and dream of a life that is so. We continue to ignore the reality of what is going on around us in hopes that our New Moon wishes will manifest our Utopia. This card heralds the need to count your blessings, be grateful for what is and what is not. Self-Pity and playing the victim can no longer apply in this day and age; people are sick of it. If you cannot find the gratitude for the Now, you will find yourself falling deeper into the pits of despair. July can be a particularly difficult month with the Eclipses that are forshadowing. Expect breakdowns from the unexpected; our personal world will no longer be as it once was and a deep sadness fills my heart knowing this. Be thankful for whatever remains.
August The Hermit- July could have left us horribly shaken and drained and now the retreat begins. The inward journey, both ethereal and literal. Now, life is about learning to find yourself through seclusion; learning to trust yourself before you can trust another. This about taking a break and doing for the self for a change. Finding your own personal truth in all situations. The Hermit is the energy of Integrity and doing the right thing; sometimes you are the only one watching and that is where true Integrity is realized; when we do the right thing when nobody is looking. For world matters religion could be highlighted and the Integrity behind organized religion or lack thereof. The Universe says that it is time to think for yourself, walk your own path and figure out the truth of life for yourself instead of from a man-made allegory of craziness. Realize that the purpose of organized religion is for the weak-minded and designed as a means to control. With Mercury going Direct and a Solar Eclipse during this month, we will get a boost of illuminating energy to move forward on our quest.
September 5 of Earth- It may be the end of Summer and beginning of Autumn, but many of us will feel left out in the cold when the 5 of Earth appears. Time to count your blessings again and be grateful for what remains. A sense of feeling stuck and a lack mentality are often the case. Viewing everyone in the world as the “haves” and you the “have-not”. This could be a lonely and dark time for many, but Fate is about to step in and take over and usher in Fated relationships and partnerships that will spring board you back to life. I truly hope this is not the case, but this card makes me sad. It is our sense of financial and material security; desperate times could fall upon us, but we must remember that the nature of reality is “Nothing lasts forever.”
October Ace of Fire- Finally, New beginnings and in a positive direction as well. Career and growth are highlighted. This is where the Fated magic comes in. Did you pay your dues over the last few months? If so, good things will shine down on you. Fated partners of all types begin to show up during the Venus Retrograde, this could give us all a boost; especially in the love department. Whatever it comes to, this could be “The One” we have all been waiting for. This energy carries through November and beyond. Maybe it will take us to lose everything this year to get to this point, but it should be worth it!
November The Magician- Just like Dorothy, we all have the power within us to make a difference and change within ourselves and for the greater good of the world. WE hold the Magic. New beginnings continue to amaze us with this wonderous energy. We waited all year for this. Many are coming into their own and realizing they can make better decisions, better choices and live better lives; our eyes are finally open and our lives should be filled with deeper meaning and purpose at this point forward. This is now the perfect time for singles to find that one, true and lasting relationship – hey it is Fated say the Stars and the Magician. Let him sprinkle his magical alchemy throughout the world and soak it in; revel in it.
December Queen of Earth- Ahhh, Gaia comes home to her Throne, she is settling in and making changes in the world around us. Time for all of us to get cozy and build the nest; the hearth and home will be highlighted. Our beliefs are changing, and we are solidifying our boundaries and our personal integrity. The year ends on the feeling that we are exactly where we belong knowing we are going in the right direction. The possibilities are endless and hopeful; with a Mother’s Love energy guiding us; pull up the blankey, stoke the fire and curl up with a good book and the remote. Beware though, this Queen of Earth has barely forced her wraith upon the world and she does continue to purify and renew the Earth and its human predators; she will remind us how she is in control and not Man.
